I still died in 2-4 shots which further irritated me lol. Whenever I did multiplayer I found myself using grenades or C4 more than anything. Or just camping with a sniper waiting for a kill. Just wasn't my cup of tea :p

That's cool, it really isn't everyone's. Honestly the first CoD I got was CoD4, this was after constantly hearing about everyone raving how awesome it was. I bought it, got online... got raped constantly and thought "what the ****, this isn't fun!" I put it away and didn't touch it for a couple of years. Then eventually my nephew started playing CoD so I started playing with him online. I still did horribly, but it was much more fun playing with someone else. Eventually I started getting better at it, and I played with a bunch of friends/family at night(well I did. I haven't had Live for a couple of months now). It was just a ton of fun hopping on with a full party of friends and playing, even if we lost.
It definitely isn't a game everyone can enjoy, and I don't understand why anyone would say that it's an easy, casual experience online... until you develop your faster gun reactions and learn the maps it's absolutely
brutal. It's not fun losing, and it's really hard to stay interested in a game where you're dying over and over and barely come out with a couple of kills.... and it definitely doesn't help if you're playing it by yourself.
