On the topic of virus stuff.... norton is awful.
Use Microsoft security essentials for protection, and also use Malwarebytes (schedule it for once a month).
7zip for zipping...poweriso for mounting...imgburn for burning...
And if you play lots of online games, occasionally check to see that you don't have pando media booster running in your processes. If it is, uninstall it
It eats internet speeds.
