I'm positive that they could easily make this if they wanted to, but I don't really see how it would help their sales. Money's useless except to purchase things from them, and creating an economy would give it more use and cause less people to buy gralat packs.
Which yeah, this would be fantastic and I really want it too, but that's why they aren't doing it.

I don't agree with you. In a free market economy prices are determined by supply and demand. If a player has a hat that everyone wants, prices go high for that hat. What is a quick and easily method of getting money to buy that hat?
