Real football= soccer (football in England and most countries in the world apart from USA).

Here we go again. I hate people that don't do any research before assuming things. In this situation assuming doesn't make an ass out of "U and me" though, it just makes an ass out of you. Lets do this again just to get these close minded people out of the way, shall we? Copypasta time.
I really hate it when certain soccer/football fans say their version of football is the "real" football. To be blunt, that is completely arrogant and irrational to say that. There is no "real" football. If these people actually took the time to research the origins of the two sports, they would realize that although soccer/football has been around much longer, it was not until the mid 1800's that it was officially called "Football" (there was many other names for it in England at the time, including SOCCER) and had any legitimate organization outside of backyard pastimes.
By the time the organized sport was finally introduced to the United States' popular culture, gridiron football, or "American football" as people say, was already popular so the United States used the nick name "Soccer" to describe it. Again, the UK had also used this word at the time to call the sport. Neither is correct, and neither is certainly the "Real" football. Its all relative to what people around you call it. That's ridiculous to accuse that.
And if you use the, "More popular" argument again, we are all mutants and only the Chinese are "real" humans.
