Then what about the hats that have scarves, hoods, shoulder pads, wings, pretty much an entire hat shop slapped onto one hat? How would those work if this happened. Not saying its a bad idea but that'd be confusing.

Doesn’t necessarily mean you have to wear both at the same time. the hats you’re talking about could just go under the hat category and all you would do is no mask. Just have a blank spot option for the masks like the hats have it now.

I think it would be great to split the face accessory (masks, glasses, eye patches, etc) from the head accessory (hats)

I can already see the riots in graal if all the cool players would lose their head uploads

However, this is something that really needs done at the very start. I believe that trying to add it in at this stage would require editing some 800ish files that are uploaded and that is a lot of work for something like this.
