He only had X amount of years to try and fix an economy that Bush nearly destroyed, cut him some slack.

I know bush destroyed it, but the problem is, in those x amount of years, it got worse. I don't like Obama for his view on taxes though. Increasing the tax on the upper class is detrimental in my opinion. If you tax the wealthy business owners, they lose more money and potentially lose more jobs. Plus, it's showing that if you work hard it's for nothing if you're more heavily taxed that the people that work for minimum wage at McDonald's that dropped out of high school.
The way I see it, if you lowered taxes all together, people would spend more, increasing tax revenue in the long run than heavily taxing people to the point where they don't spend as much. If Obama had a lemonade stand, he'd prefer 3 people to buy his lemonade for $10 than 30 people buy his lemonade for $3.
