I don't see why people with less money then you should be denied healthcare because of their position in life? Also, for your information not everyone sits on their ass and waits for food stamps, not everyone has the time to go back to school or the money. While there are some people who do they are not the majority. Revoking access to government funded help won't aid anyone. If we want to reduce spending on food stamps you need to educate the population so that they aren't put in that position in the first place.

Democracy is based on competition, and if we spend the money to help out people that, well, "loose" the competition then the whole point of competition and the market based economy flies out the window. Using that logic we should bail out every single car company, that seems to be Obama's logic considering how he treated GM. This is economics, not ethics. Sure, ethically what your saying is the right to do, but economically it will just continue to make more and more people rely on the government, more and more people sitting on their asses, and more and more debt. Same as feeding the starving children in africa, if you continue to feed them the population will continue to grow and exceed their area's natural support, thus creating more children next generation to starve, because they are
relying on the people that are feeding them.
