There are only so many items that you can give away in quests before things begin to get unbalanced. After we run out of items like the Hammer and Boomerang (that don't change much on the server) what are we supposed to do? Give away gani animations as quest prizes? Hats? Or just not bother and continue with the safe hat shop updates? I am far more interested in introducing gameplay and based on the players that are sitting around doing nothing at all, the players on Facebook who are constantly whining and putting Classic down, and those who feel the need to review it on iTunes and complain about a lack of purpose and direction, I think it's the way forward.
People assume that there isn't going to be any balance, or that the current features on the server are going to be ignored and thus change in a way that is completely alien. That is not the intention in this at all, and I don't believe that we are stupid enough to promote that. People believe, because Era iPhone sells guns for $90 that it's what Classic has to do, and again this is an incorrect mindset. I've posted this on Facebook already, but I really believe that people need to start viewing Classic with more of an open mind.

I agree, adding quests definitely is the way forward, but I dont think that adding hearts is the right way to go. There should be a sense of direction in the game and the players should be rewarded for completing whatever is added, and I'm not talking about new animations or hats. Stuff like the boomerang, hammer, hookshot, magic, warp ring, and even a shield upgrade are all more fun rewards then having an extra heart, and I'm sure the list can and would be expanded from there.
I have faith that the current staff will be able to keep a balance with whatever they do end up adding as well, and I don't see them adding pay to win options with Classic.

i dont get what you mean by "dont have interest in questing" when all players have been asking for was a trade system and quest. currently 94 players say we should get the heart quest, and 19 say we shouldnt.

Not all players. There are going to be some, even if it is a minority, who do not have an interest in questing.
