Birds can fly warp you to predestined locations.
Specific animals help with jobs. Example: a mole helps with mining, a dog helps digging shells, etc. They could provide a minimal boost.
Reactions: dogs scare cats, cats scare birds, etc.
Animals could have a slow special attack.

Shock has a really cool idea buts let not get to pokemonish! It would be cool if they could like discover secret areas? like a dog scratches at a tree and turns out tree leads somewhere off of a grab.
