This was attempted about four years ago.
They had the npcs for the starter fire, water, and grass types; and that's as far as they got.
Ganis, and a followplayer; pikachu style.
Never even made it to the Hosted list.
Good concept though. I could forsee a playerbase if the battle system, leveling system, gmap, and graphics deliver.

yeah i've heard this has been attempted before. I want to do it and I think with today's ways of communication getting staff wouldn't be too hard, but I need to work with the tiles. I've thought of a lot of ideas so far!
