I dunno, every quest we've had on iClassic had it's own popularity and hype for a couple days, and then the whole craze kind of died down. Shovel quest, the multiple Deadwood quests, RPS hats...
We need longer quests, something either constantly updated or extremely complex that would take days, if not weeks to complete. But that would require very skilled (and I'm assuming paid) scripters, and I don't think Stefan is too interested in hiring paid scripters at the moment.

Quests die out because once you complete them theres little or no replay value. The only quest that remains popular is the Pyrate Bay cleanup daily event because it can be replayed. That's why quests don't make a server and focus should be on events/minigames (Archery Range) or activities/items to enhance gameplay (Towers or new weapons). Theres a reason single player games dont have as many hours of gameplay as a multiplayer game.
Edit: Also, whats wrong with hats? If the graphics team have free time and want to make them what is there to complain about?
