Scamming isn't legal in the sense that admins could assist in scamming other players. No. We say scamming is "legal" because it is a "buyer beware" approach when it comes to trading. There are no rules because it is difficult to prove and therefore hard for admins to enforce. When a player tells us he or she has been scammed, we can't investigate the issue because there is no way we can know for sure what the agreements were on the transaction.

Using an administrator/admin tools to assist scamming is wrong. You are misleading the player to think he is dealing with someone who is trustworthy (the admin) for purposes of gaining his trust to go through with the trade. In this case, it will be an abuse of powers (abusing the trustworthiness of your status to scam others).

Regarding Tink, it is confidential unless she wants to discuss it on the forums (since she didn't create a thread, I don't think it is her intent to discuss these matters). She was wonderful at her job, she will be missed.
