Zombie Apocolypse
 

How would you survive? What's your plan (if you have one) against a zombie outbreak?

Example
Mine would be to live in the Highlands. No people - no zombies. I'd find a shelter, or make my own, farm if possible, or hunt wild rabbits/dear if in the woods, look for mushrooms, etc.

Disadvantage(s) - I'm no survival expert. 2. I live in a main city, I would last two minutes. 3. Traffic would be a nightmare.

I would run to my friends house across the street. He's only been to school a couple times because he's "training" for an apocolypse, playing all zombie games, ect

1. Grab lots of knives and sharp objects 2. Gather lots of food and drink to survive 3. Sit in the stairs and watch the zombies fall over as they can't bend their legs.

I would go to Wal-Mart since I live near it. I would pack a few of my firearms. A BB handgun (light, low amount of damage but could stun a zombie) and maybe a rifle, probably a 0.22 cal or a sniper I have both and for sure I'd bring a shotgun. So any of those two. I would also bring a good amount of food with me. Once I get to Wal-Mart I would organize everyone into groups of two. We'd begin to ration food and sort firearms (found in the sports section). I would take some of the computers they have either in the staff area or unbox one in the computer department and try to connect to the internet to post about the safety of Wal-Mart. We'd block off all the doors. Since they also have those TV's displaying ads I would change all the ads to a zombie apocalypse tips guide (not hard to do once in the control room). I would also set up some sort of warning system. Possibly have a button or if the door sense tracked something it would go off. The doors would be pretty well barricaded with stuff anyways. There also may be some security cameras around the place too so I could watch for zombie's outside. I would organize the people in groups to patrol the store and make sure they heard no noises. I would find a way to get on the roof and take all the stuff out of the garden area and grow crops if we ran out of food. The best reason to go to Wal-Mart in an apocalypse is because most people will have ran away already so you don't have to worry about trusting the right people.

I'd be sure to have my .44 revolver on me, along side a double barrel shot gun we have. Make sure I take lots of ammo. Take a knife, that kind of stuff. I'd be sure to take a bow, also.Then, I'd proceed to go to a food store and stock up on some canned foods. I wouldn't shoot anyone who doesn't bother me, but I would use my weapons for self defense. Once I have food and clothes and all that stuff, I would find a nearby home and make that my home base. Board up the doors, etc. My dad's a carpenter, so we have the equipment to do that. So I have a shelter, weapons, and food. Get a car, possibly get more food if the super markets are not completely empty yet, and head for the woods. Pick up some seeds along the way, so I can make a small garden. With the bow, since you can reuse arrows, I would hunt for deer, bunnies, and animals that I can eat. I have experience hunting, so that isn't a problem. If anyone comes my way, I shoot 'em and take their supplies.

Or I'd jack a boat and move to some deserted Pacific island.

Gather a bunch of people, including people I hate. Id get a gun and ammo. I'd go into a Luckys (no WalMarts here) and shoot the people i hate in the leg and watch them get torn apart, all the while laughing at their screams of agony. Best part is there's a Rite Aid next door and we'd just grab medical supplies from there.

Or I'd go to Hawaii. They're safe from the zombies since they can't swim. Just if it doesn't spread in the air.

What you forget is, its an infection, it might not be airborne, just through bites or scratches, you could become infected. Just think how many people go in and out the Hawaii border. Someone could be a carrier. :)

It's pretty smart. Food, Shelter, Firearms, tools to make explosives.

One guy with a firearm could bring your whole party to a stop, seeker xD. Not everyone you meet are friendly xD

Most people would have evactuated Wal-Mart or are dead by the time I get there and it's not like someone like John Rambo is gonna be there, probably some fat person hiding or a kid thats lost. Chances are they can't even kill anyone or use a gun.

Yea. Everyone will leave Walmart. Nobody will be there at all. (/sarcasm)

Its a global emergency, people will be breaking laws, getting supplies, trying to do what you are doing,

Now the smart thing to do would be to stay inside in a remote location with a fortified room and supplies.

The colder and more wilderness the better.

Now ideally the way to survive a apocalypse for as long as possible would require a base at one of the poles, with solar and maybe geothermal energy if at the artic with land, you'd need a hydroponic garden, a water filtering and recycling plant, basically everything that would be in the plans for a self-sufficient moon base or space station. Basically it would need to be planned beforehand and wouldn't be able to hold a large amount of people.
