Awesome stuff in the future.

Hey guys! My first attempt at an off topic thread (I drive normal threads offtopic, yet I never made an offtopic one before -.-). Now, what would you guys want to see in the future (As in 2020's, etc). You can list anything sci fi, etc.

Mine is PEW PEW LAZOR HANDGUNS and FLYING CARZ :D

slasher 06-15-2012 07:13 AM

Flying rocks like the ones in sponge bob that the pioneers used to ride for miles

Slow Internet? This is the basic version.
Spoiler

This, and pretty much every other finalist in the eVolo Skyscraper Competition. The things people come up with are amazing.

Artificial Photosynthesis would be awesome, too. The world would really be heading in a good direction then. Ancient people worshipped the sun, and, while we might not worship it, we would be People of the Sun.

I would also like, in the future, for New Zealand to stay as beautiful and amazing as ever, while keeping with modern technologies. I would love New Zealand to become the green technologies capital of the world.

And I would like cities that look like the movie adaptation of the Capitol, from the Hunger Games, just minus the buildings especially for organizing and housing the various aspects of the Hunger Games. I would hate that.

To deal with overpopulation, I would like to see Mars terraformed, and created into a new Earth colony. Once Space travel is efficient enough, I would also like to see various other planets terraformed especially for factories. That way environments can be destroyed away from human habitation.

Earth, unless various things are turned around, would need to become the factory planet. With technology escalating in the ********een direction at the rate it is, by the time the terraforming technology is developed and the efficient space technology is worked on, Earth may be in a barely habitable state by the time it happens.

Unfortunately, terraforming would take decades, if not hundreds of years. So I can only hope the world bucks up it's ideas before the point where we become our own unmaking.

I love New Zealand, and green technologies that look cool. <3

For those too lazy to read:
- Green Technologies
- New Zealand staying awesome
- Terra formed planets engineered especially for various aspects of modern human life

More powerful computer parts for the same price faster connection speeds on the internet, wireless electricity, self driven cars(already done and legal in a few states but it should become cheap and available to everyone)

That would be cool! Imagine if there was some kind of password and if you enter one in, you warp to the teleporter that has the password linked to it. I could visit you graalians xD

Firstly, that would be creepy. Secondly, then we'd have an even bigger obesity problem. We're built to move, but we're trained to be lazy.

So what? With triple whoppers at burger king and grease fried fat at McDonald's we can't get worse.

What I would like to see. I would like for humans to adapt to living in the air. huge cities like those in "Laputa :Castle in the sky." I wish for us to live on platforms on the sea and leave the continents alone to heal and evolve over time.
