Pokemon Themed Server
 

CONCEPTUAL DESIGN ONLY

GraalOnline was based on the idea of one of many people's favorite game: Zelda. "How cool would a Zelda online game be?!" they said, well now I strive to also make one of the most beloved games into a graal server.

The theme of this server will be SIMILAR to Pokemon, yellow version, where you had pikachu follow you. What this would be is Pokemon style art, and somewhat of a pokemon style gameplay. The gameplay consists of some major differences though:

Real Time:
The real time combat will do something no other pokemon game has ever done, you will have a skill bar (size to be determined) that has a number of different skills you can use to attack an enemy.

One Pet:
The combat consists of 1 pet that you have following you at all times, when you're not in a major city, and that pet can grow and change to match your style of play. You will have other pets in your backpack, but you can't use them unless you're out of combat.

Differences from Graal:

Art Style:

The art style will be a very unique, modern day, Pokemon style art as opposed to zelda.

Gameplay:

The gameplay for this server will take the [Graal] gameplay box and do this to it: [kasjbfajksbfj]

We strive to make it different than any other server ever created. You will not actually attack as a player, but instead send your pet to kill anything in your way.

Fun Things to do:

You will be able to battle other players, trade items, do various quests around the world, and even enter dungeons where you can team up with your friends to complete an ultimate goal. These won't be ordinary dungeons though: The evil head of a major company is using his pet to take over a building, Stop him! (players then proceed to find there way through a Sky scraper and take down this evil menace)

Yay! i like the fact of a having a pet and i like the tileset you used. Especially the building :D

If enough people like this I may actually purchase the server space xD but for now it's just concept. Name suggestions would be good too!

I'd polish the tiles first. Give people some stuff to look at.

Absolutely, I wasn't planning on doing anything until I got a solid tileset down. I just threw this together last night so there's lots more to be done! Just wanted a public opinion

Looks nice if you fix the streetlamps, they just look too small.

yeah i've heard this has been attempted before. I want to do it and I think with today's ways of communication getting staff wouldn't be too hard, but I need to work with the tiles. I've thought of a lot of ideas so far!

Nice idea, iNana! This would be a cool, and absolutely unique server! But a lot of hard work would need to be put into it.

Oh so this was the new server you we're messaging me about the other day. Seem's like a very nice idea, although a lot of hard work will need to be put into this. I'm sure it would be GREAT if it actually happened and a huge hit for Pokemon fans world wide! I'm open for a staff position as a pixel artist, you already know that but just a reminder if you actually do it ;')

they only problem is it would never get far, no way it would make it to iphone status, for fear of lawsuit, and plus stefans horrible business system would ruin it, not to mention pokemon was never meant to be a online game, it would be so unequal and hard to set up the system with the ammount of creatures you would need to create, unless you made it so player submit their own creature ganis and get the different attacks chosen and such, but that would require alot of staff overview.

Pokemon could easily be translated into an mmo. Not necessarily with graal though.
