Ethics:- Extreme cursing / vulgarity and discrimination is not tolerated on the server.
- Players are expected to be courteous to others and keep in mind that they wish to have fun on the community server, too.
- OPs are expected to treat all players fairly. Likewise, players are expected to treat OPs fairly.
- This server takes place in a time of knights, battles, and kingdoms. Expect to be attacked if you are traveling outside of your kingdom.
- Hacking is not tolerated. Any attemps to be invincible, fly, xray mod, etc. will result in being banned.
- Please keep this in mind as a general rule: The server is a place for the Graalians community to have fun, and since we're a community we're all nice to each other... right?
- Have fun, but make sure others are allowed to have fun, too.
Systems:- The server has many systems in place to aid the experience. If you are interested, read the following:
- OPs have yellow nicknames, hackers and guests have red nicknames, nomads have white nicknames, and members of kingdoms have varying colors of nicknames representing their kingdom.
- If players have a nickname, they will have a * in front of their name. If their display name is simply their minecraft account, the * will not be present. Don't be fooled into thinking someone is fake!
- You must wait 15 seconds before teleporting. Once you teleport, you will be unable to be hurt or hurt others for 15 seconds.
- Warping to players (i.e. /tpa and /tpahere) is disabled.
- If you are idle for five minutes, you will become afk. At this time, you will be placed into "afk mode". During this mode, you cannot be hurt or collect items. To exit, simply say "/afk" or anything else.
- When players die, they spawn either at their /home or their kingdom. You can also say /spawn to travel to your kingdom quickly or /home to your home. In order to set your current location as your home, say /sethome. To delete your home, say /delhome, or you can simply /sethome over it.
- iConomy and other currencies are not used on this server, and I do not plan on adding them. If anybody wants to discuss a universal currency, they may post in this thread.
- Chat is global. I do not play to change this. I reccomend using AIM or Skype to chat with your friends privately. You may also use the /tell <account> <text> command to deliver someone a private message. (Protip: use /r <text> to quickly respond to the last person to message you.)
- Lava buckets and EXP Bottles cannot be used anywhere on the server at any point in time.
- Firespread and Creeper Damage to blocks are disabled. Endermen are also unable to pick up blocks. (Yes, they CAN be stopped!)
- Signs are protected.
- PVP is, obviously, enabled.
- Players who are guested for hacking cannot build or use any items. They can only use a few commands.
- There are no kits. Sorry.
- You will always spawn at /home no matter how many times you sleep.
Kingdoms:- Kingdoms are large groups of several players who work together under a common government and (hopefully) goals.
- When the server opens, there will be three kingdoms: Stroseria, led by iNana, Inspired, led by Fireenn, and Adonis, led by HappyCat.
- Each leader is allowed to govern his people any way he pleases. If you don't like a kingdom, you are entitled to leave.
- There is no universal currency. Kingdoms may meet together and discuss one, although it is not official (at least at this point).
- No new kingdoms will be created for at least seven days after the start of the server.
- Kingdoms must be approved by OPs before creations. Kingdoms that constantly break the rules risk being obliterated by His Superior Overlordness and deleted. This is not to say that a leader is responsible for every member's hacking, but if it seems that the common goal of a kingdom is hacking or the leader is encouraging it then the kingdom faces consequences.
- OPs are not allowed to join kingdoms. They may build in them but they are forbidden from "growing too close" to them and aiding them in wars. The OPs of the server know this.
- Each kingdom will receive a single warp (/spawn) back to their kingdom. No members of kingdoms will receive /home.
- Don't want to join a kingdom? No problem. You will be defaulted to the nomad group, so have fun! (I advise you join a kingdom because nomads will not receive any protection. They will, however, receive access to the /home command.)
Combat and War:- Swords, bows, fists, etc. are enabled worldwide at all times. Players cannot get in trouble for hurting other players unless they are spamming them at a spawn point.
- TNT and Flint N Steel are enabled, except inside kingdoms. Firespread is turned off, so burning down forests is impossible. Players are allowed to use TNT to test weapons or set traps outside of kingdoms. If they abuse this privileged by spamming areas with TNT, the right will be taken away and further consequences may be given.
- Lava Buckets are always turned off. If you need an OP's assistance in placing lava, ask.
- A war is an open period of physical conflict between two kingdoms. Both kingdoms are aware of wars when they go on.
- In order to start a war, both sides--the declarer and the defenders--must have a decent amount of players online. The exact amount is up to the discretion of the OP. Players must alert the OP that they are declaring war beforehand.
- During war, protections to either kingdom involved are removed. Any damage suffered during war will stay!
- Protections will be re-enabled when both sides agree to peace or one surrenders. At any point of a surrender, protections will be re-enabled and fighting will end. The two kingdoms may then discuss diplomatic terms of surrender.
- A raid is different than a war. Raids are unannounced and unplanned. A raid is a kingdom sending a surprise attack on another kingdom. Raids are useful for specific secret missions (i.e. destroying the farms at night).
- During raids, protections on both kingdoms will be lifted. The protections will be immediately put back once the offensive kingdom notifies the OP.
- Players must inform the OP before committing a raid. The defending kingdom must have adequate players online. The exact number is up to the OP's discretion.
- During war or raids lava buckets will remain the only item disabled. Lava is never the answer! Never!
- Just to clarify, wars are conflicts while raids are attempts to grief a kingdom. I'm assuming that players who are caught raiding will be declared war on, though if they are secretive and get out unscathed they just might not be. :)
Post in this thread any additions that should be made to the rules. Leaders of each kingdom are encouraged to post in this thread describing their kingdom.
