Graalians - MattKan & Minecraft

I've invested a lot of time into MineCraft over the past 8 months. I loved the game, but there have been many things that have happened that have made my love for it fall.

I loved the Graalians minecraft server. It was so fun and I just had a fantastic time on there. But then the world kinda fell apart and became a giant wreck and gradually people stopped playing. By then it just wasn't fun anymore. Of course, the wipe came around and I got back into the groove for a little while, but it never really took off again. Eventually it closed and that was the end of the fun. I have hosted a server for nearly four months for various things (Pimpsy's movie, etc.) and nothing really good came out of it. I hosted the Minecraft Hunger Games twice, but both were pretty unsuccessful due to the procrastination I had made when creating them and poor support from the rest of my team. Over the past month we've been working on recreating the GraalOnline Classic server, but it hasn't been very enjoyable and it has been extremely slow. I need to talk to Higbey about that, but I think I might want to forgo it completely.

So what's next for me?

Well, I'm not interested in any grand plans for Minecraft. Not only do I not have enough time, but I don't have enough interest. Instead, I'm going to focus on something a little low key.

I'm going to host a server for Graalians, though. A nice little survival server for myself and other Graalians to just hang out on. I'm not going to be too ambitious about the start area, but I will come up with a little something. My computer's rather fast, and there have been instances of ten or more players online with no lag. If the server gets to be big enough, I will sign up for a professional hosting plan. I've already emailed one professional host about it to alert me when the plan I want is available. I'm ready to have some fun.

The server's release date will be released later on, probably in a new thread. I'm going to call on a couple people to help build the start area, but I'm not very desperate for help. I will post more information as it is available.

To clarify, I'm not interested in a massive map rebuild or massive event. I'm simply interesting in providing a place for myself, my friends, and other Graalians to have fun. Basically a replacement for the old mc.graalians.com server where I know I wasn't the only one who had a good time.
