343 Industries Off To A Good Start or Bad?

343 Industries

I personally see them being off to a bad start. In case people haven't heard, but most probably did, they were given control of I believe all the Halo games. They are currently in the process of making Halo 4. Now recently I have seen some things they've done that made me very unhappy. Here's a list:

-Made the file downloading on Bungie.net unusable and have yet to make a new one on their site.
-Gave recon to all Halo 3 players after all the hard work some did to earn it.
-Changed Master Chief's original armor and Cortana's appearance.
-Created custom challenges on their website for easy boosting in the wrong hands.
-(I'm not sure if this one is true.) I heard they were the ones who made a lot of the maps on Arena and such custom maps.

I'm not so sure Halo is in the right hands. I can't really think of any good things that have come out of them taking over Halo yet. Mainly because I haven't heard any beneficial causes they've done. Thoughts and opinions on 343 Industries?

Really? My counter arguement wont load, anyway my ultimate rebutle, masterchiefs armor changes every game and so does cortanas graphical apperance, and 343 has approx 30 people from bungie itself including the lead writer and creative developers.

To be honest I wanted someone else to take over Halo. I hated Bungie even though they make a great game they still anger me as far as some decisions they made. Such as resetting the 15,000 players for using the credit challenge bug. That's a good way to lose customers. I was hoping the rumors about Bungie employees being part of 343 Industries was false, but I guess my fears are realized. Well on the bright side of Bungie members being a part of it is it will most likely be a great game anyways.

My halo dream is to play maps sized and spaces like forge world with buildings and such and a way (mabye PC) to matchmake games like this with servercounts going to around the 100 hundred player Max range. Make chokepoints where teams fight for specified weapons such as snipers/rockets/spartan lazers and mass team vehicles such as pelican, phantoms, and vampires.

glad they made changes. all halo games were the same thing over and over again like CoD. Can't wait to see what they change next

They should've put Halo to rest when Bungie signed off with Halo Reach.
Its the greedy M$ bastards forcing this sequel..

Its pretty fanboyish but I dont like what they did to MC's armour, it doesnt even look like him anymore.
I honestly cant say I'm excited about Halo 4 nor was I excited when Halo Anniversary came out. Thats saying a lot, I'm a huge Halo fan.

@Jester Dont even compare Halo to CoD, Halo's minor improvements with each sequel were much more meaningful than CoD's. There was nothing wrong with Halo, and theres a ton of people mad that they added AA's to Reach
.Plus Halo actually had a real story and created a new entire universe

Dont hate on COD just because its a more recreational style of play.
Go battlefield 3!
....
wait...
what?

I got the second one because of just how popular it was and I was pretty disappointed. I played through the campaign and it was like... eh. Played online and didn't like it at all. Before that I used to play Time Splitters so Halo was sooooooo slow. But at the end of the day it didn't really stand out. I got some enjoyment out of splitscreen with my family but not nearly as much as Time Splitters because of the lack of bots.

But I feel most FPS games give me the same impression. Campaign-wise the gameplay never really feels more involved than going from point A to point B and shooting whoever gets in your way. They break it up with driving and crap but it's still all the same.

Hmmm its too bad Halo does not meet your, obviously superb, taste in videogames.

Goldeneye 007 filled that niche long before Halo was around.
