BAN REFORM:too harsh ban times:unfair bans

We need a set list of rules in Graal added to the kiosk, NEED IT. If you wish to moderate the servers you absolutely must listen to this.

You cannot cite the terms of service since iPhone players never get to even see it, you need to have the rules set out and say them in the tutorial, we need to have a set ban time for everything, so it matters what the player did, not based on who caught them, ban times can be made to increase if they have done it before, but you need to have that in there too, this way players cant claim they didn’t know, and staff need to follow the guide line.

Players need a more effective way to send ban feedback, do something like what Snk is doing with having messages emailed to him if someone reports a staff member, you should make it so when players send in something pertaining to a ban it emails it to the correct part of the email so the higher ups can see it and take care of it.

Some bans I’ve seen are just plain old abuse, staff giving bans with the wrong ban reasons, bans for things that don’t really break the rules, and most of all the harsh ban times, I mean of course make it so that using a in app purchase cracker doesn’t work, but don’t make it automatically ban for a month if you just buy a gralat pack while its installed, seriously maybe like a day ban, but all it is doing is making it so staff need to deal with messages from people that have been banned for just having it on and they have to go unban those people, all the system does is ban players when they weren’t even trying to use the in app crackers! Its so stupid, all you are doing is making more work for yourself.

Seriously, calm your GPs down and get them under control and have a system so it’s fair, and take care of these problems, Snk and Matt need to see this thread. These things need to be added, and I’m fairly sure anyone who has been banned will also want this added. Players pay for the game, without players the game wouldn’t exist, in the end staff are just players, and you wouldn’t stand for this treatment would you? Players make mistakes, that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be treated fairly, your just preventing yourself from getting in trouble later on when you’ve got to deal with all the unfair ban reports due to this system not being implemented.

Tone it down, be fair, and add this system, the players want it, and if you don’t add it, we know you aren’t being fair to us, and we know that you don’t care about players or staff abuse, and your just making yourself look bad, and we will just point this out at every chance until you listen,

I don’t want to sound like I’m making threats, but these things have been suggested lots of times, and almost all massive multiplayer games have a system for this. come on.

Sincerely,
Higbey the demon

They should just add a pay to be freed option while they're at it.

LOL! Pay 100,000 gralats or wait a year's ban.

Chaotic 04-05-2012 01:16 AM

i was banned 2.5k hours for having my status about app trailers

I thought it must of been a mistake, but asked a gp, she said it was just :/

D-Vader 04-05-2012 01:25 AM

So agreed. Though I've never actually heard from any of my friends that they got ban pointlessly, noobs write it all the time in reviews. And look up on youtube. Some like 10 year olds cry saying they got ban for no reason. Kinda funny actually.

Thats beyond the point. Yes some admins abuse their powers. Too many just stand on buildings and get attention. I've never seen too many chat blockers be ban unless they're in an a fort of the admin. Most well-known admins ever only do that. Get attention, and only ban worthy bans rarely.

Ace 04-05-2012 01:33 AM

Yeah I'm tired of getting banned for ridiculously long times just from staff wills

Higbey 04-05-2012 02:33 AM

spread this link "http://tinyurl.com/graalbans" for others to see this, if the threads deleted ill just post this on pastebin, maybe a bit of player support could show staff what they need to do,

I think this is a good idea to have a typed out policy available on the server. Although I do get the feeling that they wouldn't feel obligated to do it. (At least on iClassic, I don't play iEra very much).

God 04-05-2012 03:22 AM

Agreed classic staff is all over the place. I always see an admin 19.5 fly by a fort im holding and then beingattacked by admins guild 2 minutes later.

Before leader made amens ken and pedro would always post guind news and Guild pics about each other guilds and pedro ended up banning all of us when we hsd mod a long time ago. For "intentionally blocking players"... Lik wtf, who doesnt block at mod. Its not like any/all of us were lag blocking. Noboey was!

I have been banned for PKing at places admins call people to (ect theater/shop update/hide & seek) whats illegal about pking? If im in your way you could easily just send me to the "unstuck me" spot

Lastly, i was banned one time because when i entered sardons hall, i lagged due to soul of ninjas lantern sun and it made me get door stuck up in that black area. IMMEDIETLY before any time at all i was banned for 72 hours for "wall walking".

I agree, ban times are becoming more harsh. Especially the in-app purchase faker ban; I don't even think a ban should be issued for something like that. A mere "ticket invalid" message would suffice; 720 hours for something that may not even have been done on purpose.

Then again, I'm biased as I've been banned twice for this, but oh well. I still believe my points are valid.

Congrats Higbey. First thing on Graalians good enough to bring me back. 212 days away. Anyway...
I was banned for a month because I had the cracker installed. I did not mean to crack the iAPs, I had actually purchased an iTunes card earlier that day. I sent an email in, asking for an unban. Of course, no reply. So I was stuck banned for my birthday. Good job, that made Stefan lose a good $400.

I think that if a player 'attempts' to crack an iAP, it should be noted down, (s)he should be warned, or banned, for a small amount of time. Banning for 720 hours because of a mistake in place of the user is just silly, especially since I have made many purchases in the past and have my receipts to prove it.

I believe they are. But, my view is biased as well. The two bans were both just accidents, I was excited to finally be able to buy some stuff.

Than who were you telling, were you?

You're an idiot. "You don't say?" is a question, because I wasn't telling you that "you don't say."
