Era's Economy
 

This is a topic that bugs me.

People say we have some sort of economy. True, inflation in iEra DOES exist. (The M4 has increased in price from $0 -> $45,000 just as one example) But there is no reason for inflation to exist other than for the profitees of the game to make more money. We, as players, have the same average income we had when the game was released. Also, the demand may rise and fall, but the supply is unlimited, so there is no need for price fluctuations there either. What would create an economy is if we were allowed to legitimately trade items for money, making the items limited, which makes them affected by supply and demand, which would cause price fluctuations. But we aren't allowed to trade items for money. Why? Because it would "effect the economy," the one that we don't even have. To me, that makes little to no sense. People use our "economy" as an excuse to stop the implementation of things that would negatively effect their income. Oh no, they're making a little bit less than they used to, that's life.

Feel free to say your opinions on this topic. I only bring this up for discussion because it has begun to bother me more and more.

tl;dr Era doesn't have a real economy. The reason behind the inflated prices is so the people who profit from the game can make more money.

This post is very much opinion-based. I am not stating that I know my assumptions are 100% correct, nor is that what I'm intending to state.

There have been multiple threads about era's economy...lets just move along.

If you suggest making weapons, bombs, and much other stuff limited, making the shops owned by players, so we have to stock stuff, trade system, and much more. I totally +rep you for making this thread. Screw our economy. GraalOnline Greece, here we come!

The price of the m4 was raised because its stats were raised also, just sayin'

The m16 got worse and the price was still raised

At the time the m16 was the best gun in era, until the bar came out but I don't understand why they lowered the stats and raised the price.

The Famas price also was increased, and I'm pretty sure it's worse than it was when it was released. I just used the M4 as an example because many of the readers know about it. There are many other examples I could've used.

honestly, stefan may have made alot of this game, but he and unixmad are doing a bloody horrible ****ty job at running it, the potential of the game is being held back by their greed, and we all know it, there is no economy, and i honestly wish staff had the balls to just buck up and tell us the truth, stefan wont let them.
