To be honest, before the full version of Minecraft: there were really awesome mods. Hundreds of them aswell

Now in the full version (correct me if im wrong): The game is incompatible with most mods. There has been a few that are compatible with the full version

Also my littlepony mod, beast. Your characters actually turned into ponys with wings and you could fly :D

Mo' Creatures and Airship Mods.

Rei's Minimap. I like mod's that add nice features but don't give you an advantage over other players. (xray, flying, item spawners)

Can someone give a download link for ModLoader?

Anybody know fun Bukkit mods? I'm kinda desperate to open my server ASAP as soon as I get home.

I know tons. And they are called "Plugins", not mods:) Let's see, what kind of thing do you need them for?:)

Lag prevention, and anything that would enhance a server without making it too non-vanilla.

What is vanilla?
imma pro noob at minecraft.

Currently using:

• Improved Chat (SMP essential)
• Optifine (Client FPS Buff)
• Zombe's Mod Pack (Poor-light Warnings)

• GLSL Shaders / Sonic Ether's (Vanity: I keep the shadows disabled, few other tweaks)
• Dynamic Lights (Vanity: Handheld Torch)
• MAtmos (Vanity: Ambient noises)

*Some require Modloader / MCPatcher

For lag prevention, the one called NoLagg works EXTREMELY well.
ManySmallTweaks is nice, it lets you have floating ladders, netherrack ignite from redstone, %pig with saddles and %colored sheep, and a lot more tiny tweaks.
