Classic in need of a new ban system?
 

First of all, Welcome back everyone I'm actually surprised this website got kicked back up for the maintenance that took ages.

But the reason I made this thread is to address the fact I believe Classic needs a serious look into their ban system and how people get banned. I'm sure you are all aware players getting randomly banned for little to no reasons isn't unheard of and may have happened to you.
But the very ironic part about this is the fact I've recently been seeing more and more people either do something that should get them banned, Or do things to others that should get them banned, example is I have a good friend of mine who has literally been harassed by about 3-5 people for the past maybe 4 months if not more and it even escalated to the point where they harassed him on discord phone calls . And they spam him to kill himself . Reported them multiple times, Even went as far as to send a ticket to toonslab about them yesterday. Although doubt anything will be done.

So do you think graal needs a serious remake on the ban system? If you do please post where the ban system either done you or others you know wrong if you know of any incidents which we probably all do.

I'm not sure how the current ban system is like but it is pretty easy to learn how to ignore others online especially with the addition of the "friends + guilds only chat" option on Classic.

If you’re getting harassed by people who are not using extreme racist/offensive/sexual (etc) languages then there is nothing admins can do about it. The same rule applies to most games if not all, this way its clear for admins when to ban someone who is harassing. There could be a different meaning for what someone says when it comes to harassing That’s why most games only ban players who harras using extreme offensive languages that only has one meaning and one purpose of saying it.
You can just block players who harrases you. However, if admins do have the right to ban ppl who don’t use the languages I listed above then we will see some unfair and unnecessary bans in this game.
That’s just for the harassment section, the ban system isn’t perfect but it’s good enough IMO.
The only thing I do not like is appealing bans to toonslab. They should just reply with “Sorry, you have to do the full duration of your ban” Or something else if the ban wasn’t right. They shouldn’t ignore the tickets, i’m sure two sentences wouldn’t take a lot of their time. I think they underestimate the relief players gets when they get responses regardless if the answer is going to be a no or a yes.

I'd have to say I'd likely view it the same way. But I've witnessed way too many people that I know for a fact got banned for no legitimate reason. Prime example was my friend Ethan who left graal for a while to do house work, came back after a week and we was literally talking about what kind of cement would be good for him and was talking about prices and so on and he randomly vanished then sent a message on Discord telling me he got banned for sexual misconduct. If that isn't a extremely random ban idk what is then. He still is banned from that and this happened like over a month ago or 2 months.

Do agree with you, About the toonslab thing. As for the harassing players they done more to him than mentioned. They literally went out of their way to try and make him kill himself and even admitted to such. He pretty much is getting cyber bullied severely. They even make new accs if he blocks them and spammed him thousands of messages saying ' Kill yourself'. I know in many many many games I seen and played if you kept doing that for months on end you'd get a ban of some kind. The ban system just seems to be absolutely terrible in how it is done. You get bad people who do these things but if you say sports bra you'll be banned for sexual misconduct, it's kinda a wtf kinda system. Infact it seems like it promotes players to do things like harassing people and so on. Pretty sure I'm not the only one who sees speed hackers in towering and hacking and do it for hours nonstop. Or toggle god mode which Noble-Joey witnessed during last season and they did it so long they broke the spar record. Don't know if they was banned, I wouldn't be surprised if they wasn't. I've never seen a ban system in a game be this unreliable.

I've literally even seen ban systems in games that don't have admins that are run 100% by a solo game dev and have 100-300 players and the ban system there is way better than classic. So if one guy can make a ban system that actually does the job I'm pretty sure classic should be able to

This is a case of admins will always know more than you

I’m sure there is no one who is willing to creat new acc everytime he is blocked but in that case allow friends only to pm you from graal settings.

@ the hackers, nothing can be done if there is no admins available. There is no problem with the ban system in that case, its caused by mistakes in organizing the shifting hours for admins (GP)
In addition to that, admins seems to not be able to tell if a player is toggling godmode or not this happens mostly in spar. When it’s a noob account toggling godmode they do ban it after a while however, if the player is using an account with decent stats they decide to not ban the player fearing their judge.
I would suggest them to find a better method to find out (when needed) wither a player is toggling godmode or not. Or at least in addition to their casual training, they should be trained to spot out players with toggling godmode.

I'm more than 100% sure the incident I mentioned above when he was banned, There was no way at all he did anything in sexual misconduct. He literally only got on graal after being off for a week . Only came on graal and entered my house so we can talk about the things he improved, Cement needs and fencing and more. He literally did nothing sexual. There is nothing sexual at all talking about fences and cement. Unless you know how if can be

Blocking won't work they can alway's create new accounts just for the purpose to keep cyber-bullying him sorry to hear this

Just do what I do now. Put PMs and chat to friends only. Solves a lot of stupidity from other players.
I know most will say “this kills the part of graal that makes it graal! The community!”. But honestly, turn friends only on for a week, then turn it back. Trolls will give up eventually.
