Arrow thoughts an suggestions.
I've been waiting to post about this first of all this isn't just because they're an annoyance at mod.
At first I was with people "noob arrowing" from side of mod. But I realized these people are getting free kills at at incredible rate like this, and I've tested this as I watched Connor he's a usual arrow spammer in about an hour he had 600 kills whereas to when I pk with just a sword I get around 300+ an hour, take into fact that it was while he was spamming arrows. I don't respect anyone who does this and wish it would be considered boosting since it seriously is just a person spamming arrows from one spot without any real work to get kills other then restocking. I know they have to pay for arrows but they're still incredibly cheap at grotto and we can kill baddies easy due to the new fat weak ones. I was thinking maybe raising the arrow prices would help. Maybe making walls everywhere more realistic where they would block arrows. Even makin arrows not give kills<--I wish but too far fetched. What are your thoughts on arrows/arrow spam, And what do you suggest? I can't be the only one who feels the same way. Here's Daily Life At Mod, Sorry for the quality I was holding 2 iPods so it was harder and iPod camera sucks, anyways here It is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9o14v31DJfM |
The walls stopping arrows is the obvious thing to do. Not raising the price or making it not count as kills.

I would suggest going over to the arrow spammers and pk them until they've had enough and leave. It's not really free kills if people are letting themselves get spammed by arrows. The arrow spammers aren't invincible. Are they annoying? Yes. You just need to shove them away. However, if it becomes trouble some as to where no one can even get into the top of the tower they should make the walls deflect the arrows like you mentioned.

Also the defenders aren't really letting themselves get killed they have to defend. If they left they'd lose the tower obviously |
This is more annoying every since they made 3 orbs at mod. They arrowers will just arrow spam till there about to die run up and heal themselves, its really unfair for those pking with sword (the honnerable way to do it)

ehh theyre a pain specially when its peak time.. i hardly get any kills. i used to arrow spam, i have to admit its noobish. now i just use arrows INSIDE the box (mod) to move afkers or to kill lagg blockers.

Arrow spam is a problem, and we do need to think of some ways to stop it but a lot of your ideas are very extreme. We Definitly shouldnt raise the price, and we shouldnt remove kills from them. We should do some sort of blocking though on the sides of the towers to prevent this. Just put up some NPCs there which block arrows and everything will be groovy. A lot of people think arrows are only used for spam, and a lot of your ideas really hurt people who use the bow for things other than spam. We want to stop spam at mod not make the bow absolutely useless for pk like they did with bombs. If you wanna only pk with a sword go spar. But all weapons should be fair game out there pking imo. But we need to make sure they're not abused for boosters.

Are you talking about the arrows inside the level or outside? Outside I added blocks to all of the towers so you can't shoot "up" and hit people. Inside I haven't, however. Please let me know which.

I think the orbs should be removed and or walls added.

I agree with him, the arrow spammers situation is getting worse since the bombs where fixed (I see it almost everyday I'm a pker). Making walls able to block arrows will not really resolve the problem, fixing a limit to the arrows per second rate is maybe a solution. Thank you for this topic I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who has a bad opinion about arrow spammers (running after them doesn't stop them).

People only hate arrows spammers when they are the ones being hit ;)
