Graal Classic Age Rating

Checking the age rating for Graal Classic on the App Store (UK) says it’s “9+”, whereas for Graal Era it is labelled “12+”. Of course Era has a higher rating because it include violence and guns.

Is it right for Graal Classic to have a rating of ages from 9 years?

Classic allows anyone to interact with anyone and looking at the community will show you it is really not meant for people from the age of 9.

I believe the age rating should be bumped up to 12+. Do you?

13-15ish+

Buuuuuut they won't because they want more people to download it and make more money, so they'll push for the lowest age rating possible

Doesn't matter what happens when it's online. There's no way to anticipate what other people online will do or say. Hence why ESRB has this rating tidbit:

The game is rated by its content, not by the actions of the community

Does it matter

The thing is people who are 9 year olds playing this won't likely be having far reaching conversations.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. A lot of large companies benefit from having a lower age rating but in the case for Graal, a really ‘unknown’ company, I doubt increasing the age rating would have a significant impact (on the player base).

I’m not trying to sound like a revolutionary leader but since the actions of the community are not taken to account, then wouldn’t you agree that the rating system is flawed?

I understand that it would be extremely difficult to take the community into account but it could still be a possibly to include some degree of understanding the community when specifying the age rating.

I see ur point, but just like some replies, i doubt its gonna change anything.
Unless someone pulls ameba pico

Pretty sure Dusty answers that by citing ESRB:

However, if someone were to do something like hack the game and upload obscene pictures as wearable swords or shields and run around the map, the App Store would probably take action if notified.

the age demographic for classic is usually between 12-16, some going above that and hitting near 18-20

either way, online interactions are random as dusty said

I think 11-15 is more suitable. Lest we forget the 10 year olds "dirty RPing" in beds found around Classic.
