Are subs being given the option to switch in the GST?
 

Last Gst my team was trying to be more conservative of our energy and by doing that we switch subs often. But it seems whenever we asked the Gp's that managed the gst matches to switch, they wouldn't do it unless we didn't have 4 cores on. I mean subs are there for a reason and switching back and forth, maybe not every round but different matches would be nice. But like I said admins never did this for my team and frankly ignored us, Idk if the same has happened to you guys participating in Gst? I thought I bring it up though since the Gst is literally around the corner and I want to use our subs better this upcoming Gst!

they always let my team switch. They usually ask the core who is being swapped out to go off-tag

Whoever was hosting your rounds probably forgot to ask but for most of the idevice gsts that I've done, they always make sure to ask if we would like to bring in any specific subs before they unlock the queue.

never seen problems with it, though I think there's a rule where you aren't allowed to sub in the first round or something

been part of a team where we were denied subs once, but it hasnt been an issue since....maybe there is one host that uses those rules?

Well for some reason they didnt let " male" sub last gst when they had 4, so dont trust the gpsz

Don't make excuses for yourself and sugarcoat the fact that you lost. If someone is dqed for excessive lag, you shouldn't be entitled to replace them with a sub

Back on topic; admins have always allowed teams I've been in substitutions. Just ask politely

Not sugarcoating or denying anything, Ik we lost lol... Just numerous people have said they weren't given a chance to use subs and I didn't know if this was a very reoccurring problem. I just want to know for future reference and like I said in the first post^ Gst is literally around the corner.
