player made shop where the player gets cash?

i have this idea on my mind.
players should be able to put their own melee, hat , body and/or hats to a shop, where it costs 100k to rent for the shop for a day. if they put what they made to the shop, and others buy it, the player that made the graphics gets the cash. it would be fun.

In order for the company to make some sort of profit, the player receiving the gralats (who also made the merchandise) would have to receive only a fraction of the gralats paid for the items.

Servers want quality control with their content. Having players make whatever items they want and selling them to people on a server would completely go against that. It would also make it near impossible to prevent people frok uploading inappropriate images and trying to sell them. While I agree it does sound like a cool idea, it's impractical.

This. The only reason they would take some of the profit is if they wanted to do that in order to prevent someone from making too much money from their store. They could just account for that by raising the price it costs to run a store. The server getting a fraction of the gralats that the player makes doesn't give them profit. Their profit would come from gralat packs that people buy in order to purchase the player-made items.

Should be a submission based contest and the winning hats are sold at locations like Bazaar on Classic.

They did this on Classic with heart icons and currently sell all the chosen heart-themes in Belle/Delta Island.

they used to have player-made hats for holidays like Christmas. I remember one Christmas they had about 30 hats for 1g each that were all player-made and I loved it.

I never said anything about the server getting profit with gralats. That's utter ridiculousness. What I mean is that players are going pay real money for Gralat packs. They use those gralats to pay for merchandise, and those gralats are going to go straight to the "shop owner," who can literally just spend those gralats on their own ****, which completely eliminates one of Graal Online's consumers. Now blow that up to scale, and Graal is losing a lot of money compared not to would they are earning, but compared to what they could earn. Not only that, but there would be so many loopholes in this system. It won't work the way OP described it. The only way it would be functional on behalf of the company, is if the amount of gralats paid for the shop is roughly equivalent to the amount of gralats paid for the items in the shop by other players, which would be A LOT OF MONEY.

Oh I misunderstood. By the "company" I thought you meant toonslab. I see your point. I mean they could just charge a **** load for renting a "store" so that the profit you make is generally somewhat low unless your GFX are amazing and everyone wants to buy it. I don't think this would ever happen anyways on an iOS server because it would require too much staff involvement.
