Player count record?
 
I do not know the current record. But there were 5,011 players online today.

With more udpates coming, I think it is safe to say we are reaching an average player count of 5,000 or 4,500.

Last time I was on, I saw 4766. I think the record is around 5100 or so.

I don't like it, it's going to be increasingly more difficult to spar, as a higher player-count is hell on the server.

It'd be nice having multiple servers.

But then you wouldn't have all your friends in one and If you could swap one would be super full and others pretry empty so they would exploit that.

Apparently you'll never see a playercount greater than the current record(except maybe by a small value) because after that the server starts to crumble under the mass of the players and starts disconnecting other players. Basically reaching a peak playercount.

once we hit 4800 at any given time, players should be disconnected if theyre killed twice within a minute. this way, the idlers can still gain hours without being disconnected because of a high playercount

Shouldn't we be disconnecting the idlers so that people who are actually playing the game can still do so? By idlers I mean people who are going afk to gain hours

Not really, if the server is able to hold on that much player you won't notice anything.

If it happens, can still have a server upgrade who will allow the server to hold on more players.

That makes Classic being the new record holder of the most players online at once.
