How to add Ram to a Laptop?
I have an Aspire E5 411, But I'm wondering if I could replace the 2gb ram to an 8gb ram.
it has an Intel Celeron N2830 @ 2.16GHz and a 64-bit Operating system, and Obviously 2Gb ram with 1.88Gb usable. I don't know what type of ram it has, What brand it is but I have another Laptop with ?Gb of Ram which has a Dead OS which I'm planning to use for a while, While I'm saving money for a the 8GB Ram. The other laptop is an Aspire 7540. |

Download some
All jokes aside, Dusty's first post should help you with your upgrade. Upgrading RAM for a laptop is slightly harder than upgrading for PC. |

Crucial does a good job of letting you know what's in your laptop before you crack it open and realize you've bought the wrong hardware. (They only list their own products as expected, so you'll have to browse options elsewhere.)
I see that you have one single memory slot and a maximum of 8GB supported, so you'll want to purchase an 8GB stick to replace the current one. I found a couple nice options here and here. The only difference is in brand. They also satisfy the 1.35V requirement mentioned in Dusty's post. Be sure to watch a video of someone removing and replacing the modules before doing it yourself for the first time! :) |
Avoid ESD!
