Change your flag with VPN
 

Yo, is there a way to set up a VPN to change my flag in Classic from my iphone? I tried with Betternet and/or setting a custom VPN but they do not work. Reason is I want to see the reaction of this guy who keeps saying that he will beat me up in real life but he wants me to go to USA and not viceversa because apparently he is "too good" to touch Mexico. He is an otaku though.

They seriously ban for changing your flag with VPN? Lame, how comes 30% of sparrers are not banned then?

Idk, but if that's the case, they aren't very good at enforcing it. There's so many obvious VPNers that don't get banned. VPNing is just looked down upon on the game in general (because forced lag is dumb), but for your purpose it wouldn't really cause any harm.

That being said, from what I've heard you're flag should change if you VPN to another country (probably regardless of what service you use because all that should matter is the location of the VPN server), but sometimes it will take a while to do so.

I'm no expert on this or anything so I'm not 100% sure if what I'm saying is correct... Rex or Jimbo could probably help you out though.

Yeah, I mean, I am 1 hour away from McAllen but THAT is more effort than using a VPN just to see the jerk's reaction. I tried using Betternet, but it seems it only works with Safari or something, did not changed my flag. Thanks anyways.

He keeps insisting that I won't go to America to talk to him face to face lol, he won't even skype me or "come to mexico" for the reason said above. I know, childish fight, but I want to see his reaction if he sees that I am in USA, he thinks I can't go there.

You have to restart the app after changing it and wait a few minutes before reopening it, but I don't think this guy is really going to care because you have no idea where he lives and he obviously isn't going to tell you.

Also, when you post public threads on a forum site, yes people are going to reply to them, that's the whole point of using the forums.

Truth is, this guy is probably just casually saying these things and putting no effort, you are just wasting your time by doing all of this.

VPNing isn't illegal but if u abuse it then it is.
