So they drew a terrible flower by sparring?

Also, you can pay $20/month for after effects and other adobe software.

For anyone wondering how it might help, you can clearly see how Mike limits Jack's movement options the whole round. Either that or Jack never considers re-positioning himself.

everything on the internet is free brah

it's cool though

I'm making more, this was just my first test by using tracking but going to utilize it for more interesting spars.

I plan to do this for some GST matches where i think it will be very interesting

pretty cool

I assume the way this is actually done is by tracking a pixel of a hex value than you can't find anywhere else nearby on the video? If that's how it's done then (I've never used AA) there's probably some way to catch low-percentage speedhackers by measuring velocity or something.

Also, I guarantee if you do this over a large sample size you'll find the most heat in the top-left area of the spar

It actually relies on pixel matte based on character sprites and if they have indicator it makes it easier.

Here is another one based on Noss' clutch vs Tucker6 series, completely different heat maps vs Jack/Jack

LOL carly's face at 1st round

Can't wait to see what my heat trail looks like.

Areo 06-26-2016 05:12 PM

Doing this for some PC gst matches would be interesting(Idev warps quite a bit more, so im not sure how well the software would be able to track).

What would also be interesting is to have a x marked wherever a hit happened(I realize this would require a person to do it, but it wouldn't be all that time consuming.)

Either way, cool.

Emera 06-26-2016 05:43 PM

What WOULD be cool is having automatic heat-mapping scripted that'll record a map for every spar. You could then give players the ability to browse through past heat maps, giving them an overview of how they've improved over a period of time and an overarching view of how they tend to interact with their opponent in a spar.

If we want to be really clever, we could also programmatically compare these heatmaps against successful players' heatmaps in order to give helpful tips on how to improve.

I don't understand. How does a heat map in any way help you? All it does is show where you went, and depending on the opponent, it's going to change every time sooo...?

Zorma Knight 06-26-2016 06:24 PM

I thought the title meant adding heatmap on the Map so that we can see what areas has the most people or something, but then again it'll be pretty pointless :P

Better sparrers will almost always play to the left side of the arena, some explanations here: http://clandestine.weebly.com/moveme...detection.html
