Don't Hug Me I'm Scared

I tried to post their new Video on the other thread made for this but it is closed and I believe a few people here enjoyed their Videos.

Well they just came out with the Part 6 and well they made it great again.

I enjoy all the hard work they put into their videos.

It's an entire series and there is meant to be a story hidden behind it.

According to their kickstarter this is the last one they will make.

for now.....

I noticed the last episode was out earlier and watched it. I'm a little confused and I don't know what to feel about it, which I think is the intended effect.
Great video series!

The finale completely explained everything in the series.

I wish there was more singing to it, and I wanted to see the bird guy!! But all in all I thought it was a satisfying ending to the series. Can't wait to see all of the theory videos that pop up, lol.

that wasnt the ending, it restarted on a new day hence the 20th of june at the end.

Dang, sad to see this series end.

I remember showing the first video to all my friends and getting weird looks from them, lol.

Apparently though, this entire series is one big parody of television media and how different age-groups are being brainwashed on what to do, love, eat and even think.

Really deep stuff and it actually means something considering how powerful the media can be.

It is the ending of the series, as confirmed on the series's Kickstarter campaign.

One of the more popular theories is that Roy, the dad, is representative of 'media' and uses the teachers to manipulate the thinking and thoughts of the puppets (and like you said the puppets represent different age groups).

I used to be skeptical of the age-group thing but I think it makes sense now. The Red Guy was the first to reject one of the teachers and he ended up escaping (makes sense that he represents the 'adult'). Then the Duck Guy tried doing the same thing but it was too late and he ended up dying instead (idk what this means for teenager, maybe it's reflective of how media can sometimes have fatal effects on teenagers?), and the Yellow Guy, being the dumb and clueless one of the group, doesn't know what's happening until his friends are gone (makes sense for him to represent the 'child' of the group (not to say all children are dumb or clueless)).

Adding to the theory CM posted, the Red guy seems to miss it for some reason.

CM 06-23-2016 04:35 AM

In the new world we see him in, there is no diversity or fun. Everyone is the same, none of them have a sense of humor, and he has a standard, run-of-the-mill desk job. He probably missed the bright colors and the diversity in the puppet world.
