The Adobe Suite is pretty much industry standard for this field, if you can grab that then great.
If you can't, then look into free alternatives like GIMP. Learn how to sketch effectively to communicate your ideas then scan them on to your PC to colour in etc. |

I use Paint.Net, all you need to know is how to use layers.

Artstudio for iPad

I use Adobe creative cloud for my design class

Make 3D games like unity? You'll want Maya, 3D studio max, and or Cinema 4D. For vector art and illustrations, you want to use Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop.
You can get Maya 3 years free if you sign up and claim to be a student, and for Adobe get 'CreativeCloud' for 30 free day trials on any Adobe project for download. Also I recommend you to get a WAPCOM drawing tablet as they help a lot! Good luck |
