every update = slower?

wtf is wrong with apple? every time i update to a new operation system, it's just getting slower than the previous one and it's very noticeable too.
i have experienced that in ios 6->7 conversion, then 7->9.
now with my mac desktop. mavericks to el captain. this stinks, why isn't there an option to upgrade it to Yosemite instead?

The current OS is built around the latest iPhone. That includes using extra processing power and memory. If you're using an older iPhone it's not going to be optimized for it.

Oooor, they're just trying to make easier things to manufacture.

Dusty 04-26-2016 04:10 PM

Gotta buy a new one now.

Zetectic 04-26-2016 04:11 PM

How old is your computer?

Try cleaning up your computer or even resetting.

I reset my laptop cause my games could hardly run anymore and boom, everything was good.

Yog 04-26-2016 06:44 PM

my ipod is ipod5. it was the best with ios5 and 6.
my mac is late 2012 model with 8gb of ram, intel i5 with 2.7ghz.

it takes 20 second to open an app, after that it's fine. but on mavericks, it took only 5 second to open an app.
and there's few glitches where my mouth cursor appear really big for 3 second.
another case is i click a reply box and it triggers 'go back' function.

Oof, 2012? Could be time to upgrade.

Or at least try a reset and see how that improves performance.

Don't know why your iPod would be having trouble. Do you close background apps?

i only run 1 or 2 app at most all the time. my ipod just freezes a little or delay response. it's not a big deal. btw my macs also standing pretty strong, i should just build a gaming pc when i move to college.

Switch to the android master race.

PigParty 04-27-2016 12:58 AM

Planned obsolescence. You shouldn't upgrade your software after a certain point in time with your device if you're like me and keep your device for a while instead of getting a new one every 2 years.

Wolfie 04-27-2016 01:53 AM

They make people's devices slower and release new ones so people buy it.

Pr0m4N V.14 04-27-2016 01:57 PM

Sue apple.

Crono 04-27-2016 02:22 PM

this was a pretty big thing, they make it so you have to upgrade.
