Does Listening to Heavy Metal Make you Some Satanist or Whatever?
Ok, so I'm 100% Roman Catholic, I go to a Catholic, private school. I devote at least 5 minutes to God a day in prayer, do Bible study which is my strongest subject. BUT, I listen to heavy metal. It may seem controversial, but I don't get why. It doesn't influence me or anything, it just makes my head bob. Does anyone think that people that do what was explained above make them some Hell loving, Christ hating person? That will never be me. And please don't pull some bull**** answer 'There is no god', we have religions, and respect that.

no.

My answer: What?
I don't even get this thread. You said you listen to heavy metal, and say you're still religious, but you're asking if listening to heavy metal makes you a satanist? You've got a lot of educating to do. Songs don't change people's religion... Just google "Heavy metal Christian bands" and you'll find a whole long list of Christian metal bands... I really hope you're young. That way you can use that as your excuse for this ignorance. |

**** no. I don't listen to heavy metal, I listen to pop and crap like that. I'm still a satanist? Your music taste doesn't define what your religious views are.

Heavy metal music is the devils work. I highly recommend you do not listen to it, unless you want to become possessed by a demon.

Heavy metal is just a type of music, with certain types of instruments. There isn't anything satanic about it. It can depend on the lyrics, but the same can be said for all types of music.

Not all heavy metal is about satanic ideas.
Not all country is about Jesus or the farm. Not all pop is about twerking on strippers. |

Heavy Metal bands don't even sing about Satan.
