Ban timer is broken

Was banned for 2 weeks yesterday, I log on this morning to check the time and see that It's been reset to 355 hours AGAIN.

Not sure if it is associated with the fact I received no warning and found myself banned 3 hours after I had logged out.

Seems to be a bug with the timer, I've never seen this sort of issue before and it seems quite serious.

Doubt that. It's not really a timer, it's just a calculation.

(date of ban + ban length) - current time = timer value

So unless somebody has edited your ban time, or we've moved backwards in time, nothing's broken.

Its happened to me. 20 mins is near an hour

You have sent in a toonslab ticket... right? If you were caught ban evading (ex. using a different account to play to "evade" the ban) its possible that you were IP banned which would appear like it reset your ban time. I'm not accusing you of anything of course, but that's really the only reasonable explanation I can think of. If you do believe all of these bans were false and such and you haven't yet... really do send in that ticket. Seems like quite the mess lol

I've sent one, and I haven't been banned for over a year and a half so no I'm not evading any bans and I don't plan on doing it at the moment because the games kinda boring.

All I'm saying is my ban is kinda fishy and the timer keeps getting reset everytime I check it.

Don't message Toonslab as if they will believe you're asking for an appeal. Pharaoh told me in-game that to feedback it and it'll get processed by Devs. Did that and few hours the timer was working again.

Was just gonna leave it and then I saw that my ban wasn't decreasing over time so I thought I'd post about it.

But yea I agree Toonslab are silly.

Regardless if it's resetting, once it's fixed it'll revert to the actual remainder of the ban. So far it's happened twice to me as I mentioned it in a thread I made few weeks back.

Wait so until a staff member fixes my timer I'm basically banned permanently ?

Let's say for example your timer is at 300, and about 20 hours passed, it's still at 300 (due to a reset/timer acting up), once it's fixed it'll revert to 280 instead of counting down again at 300. If that makes sense

So if I don't get it fixed, 2 weeks passes I am pretty much still banned?
(sorry this is confusing me badly)

You will be unbanned in two weeks even if the timer is still resetting.

Surprisingly it's happening to me as well lol. Stuck at 832 hours

PigParty 03-19-2016 09:56 PM

I've found if you send in a ticket, wait for you to be denied an unban, then send another one, and repeat, after about the 3rd ticket you'll be unbanned. :D That's how the system seems to work.
