Graal and Graphics Theft, share your opinions

Before you type away, try and be calm, do not name anyone and share your opinion.

I have seen a few, well I'm sure by now you all have, hats, heads and other gfx that were clearly stolen, either by ifile, from other sites or whatever.

What do you guys think could be done to prevent these kind of actions in graal?
Obviously everything submitted being manually checked gets a bit tiring.

So my main questions are
Do you think there would be any way to stop people using ifile to get the graphics?
Do you think there would be any way to promote originality?
(e.g. Ol west has a gfx competition store where random hats are put there, they all have to be 100% made by you.
This not only allows players to get some gralats and their hats/gfx in the game but they also hire through this method.)

Don't spend time putting pixels together just to upload them to this shi**y game.

Thank you for making this thread. A great, time efficient way to get an official response from the staff on stolen things in game would be to contact toonslab.

You are a failed twitch troll.
#1 who tf uses twitch emotes outside of twitch related stuff?
#2 this isn't 4chan there is no green text after ">"

Please don't ruin this with childish behaviour.

Back on topic,
I enjoy the set up ol west has.
They even do gani competitions too!

Its been a while since I relied on the support for anything as they were really slow in the past.
I guess if they have speed things up now then it seems like a reasonable way.

I'm an artist, I will make what I want. However, I don't appreciate other individuals claiming my work as their own, especially after they horribly edit it.

Some try to claim it's from scratch, then change their story multiple times thinking I won't catch on. They then try to claim that I'm "salty" in an attempt to villianize a victim of theft.

I feel that the biggest issue is when others claim it to be their own work.

I strongly agree. It's so disrespectful

Can't they hide graphics in a file that won't show up in a file manager? I'm just wondering since idk much about these sort of things

There isn't room on the head template for signatures is there?

They could, but they wont

I don't think claiming they are stealing is entirely accurate.

Look at it from their point of view, they find a website that uploads images of Graal files with the motto "For Graalians By Graalians".

These people don't know that all these files were stolen it actually looks like the opposite, they find something they like and edit it to what they like even more(so no, it wasn't a horrible edit if the person liked it as you mentioned) from a site that looks like it was uploading these files for anyone to use.

The real problem is the sites that steal it, not the people who use the sites. I mean yeah some know the sites are bad but a lot of people are unaware that they are all stolen files.

If someone edits a file then hey they technically did make the head in a way, and we are talking about a game that has a lot of children and of course kids will try to say they made it if people like it - that's what kids do.

After all, every single head is a remake of the original template and nobody ever gives the creator of that credit!!!

Lol @ "victim of theft". I can't believe how closely some people tie their ego to graphics.

I can't believe how closely some people tie their own values to the judgement of others

theres like..what, 50+ pages of FREE heads. There isn't even a paid graal version anymore.
why cant they just edit one of those?

Colin 02-29-2016 05:33 AM

Because they don't know how to get the files for them. When they search Graal heads websites like GraalDepot are the top result and so they open it and see a much larger selection of heads that are cooler than the free ones and most often don't display the free ones.

So pretty much them not knowing how to steal is how they end up on sites like GraalDepot, which is why you shouldn't call it stealing.

No, its just about common decency.
It has nothing to do with ego.
