I reported a player for speed hacking twice last night and to a conclusion whatever GP that was on last night gave me a 2K hour ban. Is it common for a GP to ban you for reporting someone? Now I know how this outcome plays out (submit ticket blah blah) but I think it's absurd that I must wait 3 months for only reporting a player that was cheating in the game.

If this thread gets closed or deleted, I would like someone who's a GPA or GP's in Classic to investigate this issue and can assist me. Please message me here if you can.

How long will it take you other admins to release that some sicko's are either complete idiots or enjoy ruining people's experience.

Same thing happened to me, I was fighting a vpner in front of many well known members who could vouch for me but eh.

You could've said something that looked offensive towards the staff in the report when you were reporting the 2nd time. Only reason I could think of.. :unsure:

Getting near to conspiracy levels where Antago and the GP's are working to promote speedhackers to increase the diversity of players on the server. They have to keep the righteous quiet.

I know you can get banned for spam reporting, never heard of it being a 3k hour ban though.

Whats the reason for the ban? Hacking/cheating?

Any reply on the appeal?

I stated twice in the report "This player is speed hacking in Mod fort" twice in the report, it's all I write whenever I see a hacker.

Maybe you actually did something bad? Maybe they didn't ban you for reporting a player, but actually going against da rules.

Who knows, maybe the staff was nice enough to give you a forced vacation :)

Maybe they should change the speed hacking ban protocol. Is there a way to catch the not so obvious speed hackers(besides a judgment call)? I keep hearing people give false positives, so is speed hacking based on gp's judgement calls?

@Aguzo, trust me if I did something bad I wouldn't have created this thread. Majority of the bans I receive I deserve (inappropriate behavior/severe vulgarity) but reporting someone for violating rules does not mean the person reporting it also gets banned.


I'll send in another ticket next month to see if anything changes, if it's not overturned by then, I'll wait it out.

That's two people this month banned for cheating or hacking when everyone knows they ain't done ****.
I can understand why people might doubt me, but Bryan? You gotta be kidding, this hacking ban protocol has to be more accurate.
