Graal Classic:People with to high of an ms should not be able to spar?

Do you think people with an to high of an ms should not be allowed to spar?

Livid 12-25-2015 02:10 AM

I think people with high ms should be able to spar no matter how annoying they can be, because sometimes it aint their fault its the servers abundance of players fault.

Just because they win and people suck at vsing it doesn't mean it should be banned.

The moderate ms lag cap would be great, I think thats 250ms. This would prevent people from using vpns and/or intentionally lagging. I average just under 200 ms, live in Australia and don't have the best wifi (Australian wifi is **** in general.) When I was in Indonesia earlier this year I spiked between 220-300 ms(resort wifi isn't great in third world countries, let alone a remote location.) Don't see why a lag cap for sparring hasn't been implemented, anyone, anywhere can average a reasonable latency. No one likes sparring these well known intentional laggers. Implement this please, thanks!

Whenever I feel laggy I just don't spar, just being considerate of others and its boring. Ever played a game like call of duty and lagged? its not fun, don't see why intentional laggers find sparring fun... I have a video of 7moods vpn likely crashing, he wasn't hittable and just flickered in the spar until the 5 minute timer expired (help me crop the videos size and i'll attach it.) What did he do? Joined the queue again and repeated the process. Yeah some people can't control their connection, but when they are inconsiderate about it we have to do something

I usually get about 210ms, and I live in England. Though some days, I'll get around 300-320ms.
If there's a lag cap, I feel it should be no less than 500ms

Darkk 12-25-2015 10:40 AM

Find that hard to believe considering you live in England, try playing graal without being on other laggy websites like youtube, netflix and so on. 500 ms lmao get real

I'm guessing you live up north, obviously not Scotland but people who live a bit up north tend to have higher ms, I live in the south east and I range from 140 - 200 during server lag and without server lag I'm 130 - 140 I'm usually 140 though but I did used to be 130ms solid never rose at all but now that's not the case.

But a lag cap of 250ms seems like the sweet spot for allowing as many people to spar as possible without ruining the spar as much and would be a good thing to add.

Albie 12-25-2015 11:55 AM

I live pretty near London, the problem is I have a family of 4. My mother works at home and my brother also plays graal. That means there's 3 of us on the internet at the same time.
I agree, a lag cap of 250 would make sparring more enjoyable yet would drastically decrease the amount of people actually sparring.
It would cut out whole countries from the sparring scene.
Thinking about it, 300 would be suitable but nothing less. We want more people to spar, not less.

More people will spar because its more enjoyable, the people who care being excluded are only a small percentage and if they exceed 200-300 ms they most likely abusing ther lag.

Albie 12-25-2015 12:28 PM

I think of myself as a good, respectable sparrer. I don't use lag to win, but I get around 210ms average.
Not fair tp stop others like me from sparring. You don't even notice lag till around 300ms

Or we can just find a way to detect people that use vpn and such and auto kick them from spar. However regardless of people being jerks or not with their wifi does not mean to put a limit so people that have the same situation unintentionally have to feel the punishment they dont deserve. Sometimes you just gotta deal with people that are trolls/jerks with their purposeful lag.

So I'm in a new state, wi-fi is terrible, my ms goes above 200-300 daily, I cant spar now? Sounds pretty unfair and lame. People are already sparring, you saying if they go over 200-300 ms theyre most likely abusing their lag is like saying everyones a cheap ass lagger.

Dont put a limit on people just because the server makes it harder to detect who lags purposely or not. The server needs an upgrade as everyone knows, itll move smoother, less lag. People that have flags in countries you know will have lag or people that have bad wifi can be pretty nice regardless pf their lag so stripping them pf the right to spar cuz of their predicament is pretty dumb.

On the other hand a lag limit for events should be a thing like on UN.
