Clicking/Cracking Fingers
Im sure a few people must do this, but for the last few years I have begun to start clicking or cracking my knuckles etc. This eventually led to me cracking/clicking my fingers, wrists, and somehow I can make my wrists, fingers and elbow crack at the same time.
I really really really hate doing it, it just frustrates me so much, but I cant stop doing it, it is somewhat obsessive. And to make things worse, its actually pleasurable, it somewhat soothes my joints. However I feel im doing it to much, and I really want to stop doing it. Apparently it doesn't lead do arthritis but after doing it constatenly for the past few years, it really has begun to affect the streghth of my hands. It also annoys people around me, and I just cant stop :( Does anyone else do this? Can anyone give advice about this? Thank you. |
I had the same thing but with cracking my neck. Trust me, your neck is worse than your fingers. Whenever you want to crack it, it makes you look like a chicken.
It bothered me loads so I asked around and got the advice to put a rubber band on your wrist and whenever you were about to crack your knuckles or something, ping the rubber band. Worked for me, I still do it but a lot less. |
Cracking your back after you wake up in the morning is the best thing but I have a slight suspicion that it may end up causing some problems in the future if you continue putting stress on your back in unnatural ways.

I cracked my finger today during a test and the room was super silent and it sounded like I broke it in half

Does anyone else try cracking their fingers like in that anime Tolyo Ghoul?
I've tried doing it but it really only works with my index finger. Speaking for which, I seem to be able to crack most of my fingers in only my right hand which seems pretty interesting. I'm right handed but I wouldn't expect cracking my fingers to be such a non-ambidextrous thing to do. |

I used to crack my fingers to the point they would hurt like hell so i had to stop after someone told me it would affect my fingers permanently.Don't know how much of that was true. |

When I was really little I used to bite my nails, Instead, I started clearing my throat whenever I felt like I was about to, which helped me stop. If anyone needs a tool to stop a nervous tick, this should be a good start.

I am very impatient and i did things like biting my nails, cracking my knuckles, shaking one leg, putting one leg on to another.
I still bite my nails rarely, i crack my back instead of knuckles, but i do crack my knuckles rarely too. i don't shake my legs anymore, but i still like to put one leg on my lap. some girl told me if i crack my knuckles my fingers gonna get large in size. but my fingers are still skinny as hers. maybe bc i type a lot of ****. http://sindeta.com/wp-content/upload...hair-ideas.jpg our school has this desk chair in science wing. it's so good to crack ur back. it's so good. i swear i will buy it one day. |
people say my threads are pointless but im not writing about knukle cracking and stone skipping

most people have dorty fingernails and you won't want to bite it after you expose urself to the filth that u are this is how i stopped |
I started cracking my knuckles in 4th grade or thereabouts, which led to cracking pretty much every single other joint in my body to this day. It annoys the hell out of my mom but I can't help it either. I'll just absent-mindedly crack my knuckles, elbows, toes, etc in front of her and I always have to apologize immediately after I notice how POed her face looks lol. I love doing it though. Always feels so satisfying when my knuckles or back pops and especially when my wrists pop omg those are my favorite.
It's apparently a "bad" habit but at least it's not smoking or drugs or anything so... *cracks knuckles* |
