LwMarks Monthly Holidays GFX Contest - Player Hosted!

I am going to be hosting my very own GFX Holidays Contest every month with rewards! My motivation to do this was heavily influenced by ALL the player made contests Ol' West hosts. Also because I love Art / GFX and I feel players should have the opportunity to get even more involved and make their own graphics and what they would like to see in game.

So every month I am going to make a list of all the major and unique holidays for that month. Your job is to make graphics pertaining to those holidays. You can make Hats, Ganis, Toys, Furniture, Saddles, Mounts, Indicators, Guns, Swords, etc etc etc. NO heads or bodies .

This is NOT an official Ol' West contest. So the winners that are chosen will only receive the gralats traded from me. There could be a chance that if Admins see this thread and like the GFX that are submitted. Maybe they will add them in game to a shop or something.

Submission rules and submission start and deadline:

August 20th , 5pm Easten - August 31st , 11pm Eastern

After the deadline I will post a thread / poll on September 1st.
The poll will be posted for 5 days, until September 5th.
The winners will be posted September 6th.


- All submissions are sent to [email protected]
- All submissions need to have the holiday they represent.
- All submissions need to have "LwMarks Monthly Holidays GFX Contest Submission" in the email title.
- All submissions need to have your in game name and your forum name listed. Please do not change your in game name.



Rules:

1. Players can make as many GFX as they would like.
2. Players can only win once.
3 .GFX have to be submitted by the deadline.
4. GFX have to be properly formatted in .PNG or .GIF
5. GFX must have transparency if needed.
6. GFX must associate with one of the holidays listed for the month .
7. GFX can not be copied from the internet or another player.


Rewards:

1st - $15,000
2nd- 12,000
3rd - $8,000
4th - $2000
5th - $1000

I will be supplying the rewards with my own money. I am excepting donations to help fund this contest. Depending how much money i gather, I possibly will raise the rewards. Also possibly add a 6th-10th positions. Leftover gralats will be used for future monthly holiday contests.

I will post a poll with all the GFX made by each player. Each players GFX will be assigned a number. I will keep the poll up for 5 days.

This is awesome! You should do a part time House Event at some point, that would be awesome, and may inspire others to make cool Houses. Your choice though :) Good luck to all who compete xD

I wanna make the rewards larger. So hopefully aI get blessed with some good trading sales in game or we get donators .

An idea for the housing competition, is that you could make a theme, and people would have to make a house, based on the theme. Or they could just try to make a cool house without a theme, again up to you.:P

Would they have to have holiday decorations?

@vulc I'd probably do an inside house contest and outside contest and take screen shots and have people do a poll. And make sure people actually walk through the houses to by posting the peoples in game names. I wouldn't do a theme because Ol west doesn't have alot of furniture

Santa Claus just donated 1725 emeralds to the contest!!! Very greatly appreciated!!! Now my question is should I split it up and make 10 winners or keep the current 5 winners and just add bigger prize money????
