Graal Rules

Hi. Many players seems to get banned without really knowing what they have done is wrong. Then they come here(Graalians) complaining about the game and blame the staff members for the result.

At this point, Graal Rules deserve its own menu icon. Any players can read at any time, so they can learn about all the rules in game. I am pretty sure a lot of us aren't aware of some strict rules or unsure about some of it.

Also when a player gets warned, I think the Graal Rule book should appear and force the player to scroll down.
{Extended idea} And take a quick test about the rules.

Should put that list in FAQs building, since they removed the admin list.

Expecting kids to know basic etiquette ahs been a problem for as long as the internet has been around.

Look up the September That Never Ended sometime, I think of it all the time.

That being said, Graal really could do better at educating people on their rules. I really think it would take little time to make a positive change on the topic.

The thing is... Graal rules are pretty much the same as the ones you have in society.
Swearing, scamming, etc... Those concepts should already be familiar and so the banned should not be unbanned unless it really was a mistake. Which shouldn't normally occur as often as it looks by looking on the forum.

It's not a rule to not swear, it's just customary to keep your mouth clean. Also, having the rules written down, and what their expected punishment would be (1k hours, IP ban, etc.) would act as a template for the admins when making their decisions.

Rule 1: Be a civilized human being
Rule 2: Repeat rule 1

Being civilized has many different connotations for different people. For instance, a psychopath may understand the connotative meaning of being civilized as murdering homeless people.

God dammit christmas.

Using an account to auto farm gralats isn't uncivilized.

Pretty sure most of the important rules are common sense. If you think you are doing something wrong, it's probably wrong. Just do the right thing and no one will mess with you.

Aguzo 09-15-2015 02:31 AM

The rules need to be there, end of story

Not everyone knows that chat blocking is a thing, and gets banned easily for it.

kenthefruit 09-15-2015 02:58 AM

If you're unsure what you're doing is wrong, chances are it's probably wrong. It's basic human ideals to know what is right from wrong. Cussing out a player, auto farming, or harassment are all examples of common sense related activities that are wrong. It's all pretty straightforward.

Do I think adding a rules book would be a negative thing? No. But it also isn't needed either.
