I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but I think it needs to be talked about. We all know the game has been a bit laggy, whatever. But what about just individual connection lag, either from slow ISPs or bad location in vicinity to wifi. Why am I forced to spar people who jump around the screen and are nearly unhittable, while most other people I spar are normal. It takes away from the enjoyment of sparring and the game. Especially when the spar queue is 10 players deep, and a lag sparrer is just eating everyone up and isn't even that good, then you have to wait another 10 mins to get a chance to spar or you switch rooms, or you just don't spar.

My lag is usually around 120-200 ms, which isn't spectacular, but it beats some of these players in the high 000's. I am suggesting there be a limit of 300/400 ms lag cap for sparring in battle arena spars. But any lag can be used in guild houses, etc. What are peoples thoughts on this?

Then a script could be made to raise the lag cap 50 points, per additional 1000 players or something.

This has been discussed alot and everyone gave the same lag cap idea. But,at the end...it all comes down to the people on the top.The lag isn't that bad anyways...if someone's lagging like ****...they automatically get disconnected from spar for some reason.

Hard to find a reasonable cap with so many sparrers from overseas, plus it is gonna be a diaster with the unstable server we have right now.

I've sparred people from overseas that have little lag and I've sparred people from the US who jump around the screen. I don't think location is the main factor, I think it's people using ****ty internet connections. As for the serverlag, I haven't really noticed a huge increase. The highest my lag ever gets is like 220 even when the server is packed, so it's never really a huge increase.

I'm not saying ban laggers from sparring, just ban them from battle arena if their lag exceeds the cap. They can still spar in guild houses and what not.

I think it's pretty ******ed to flat out tell people they can't participate in what they like doing because they live too far away or can't afford super great internet.

Funny how these types of posts continue popping up yet we all know that they are trying to fix this. From as far as I can tell you all have bad connection. I get 20ms-40ms on an iPad Mini 1st GEN. with little to no lag. I get very infrequent freezing causing almost no issues. I'd also like to say I do NOT live anywhere close to Texas. I have no idea what you are complaining about. I definitely do not have "super-dooper-awesome Internet", either.

In my opinion, stop making threads about lag complaints. We know it's being worked on and there isn't much more these posts can do.

If you guys play on PC, which most seem to claim is amazing, then why am I not having any trouble on an outdated iPad.

I don't agree with you often but I agree here.

Not only is it out of a lot of people's control but it only actually affects you if you can't handle it in a spar. To them, you look the same. The only difference is that they're more used to it. Either way the better player still typically wins.

tru insert 500ms lag cap so i don't come back until my wi-fi is half decent again

It's usually just the first match you lose unless U f***ing suck and go 0-3 like I did, then just log off and delete graal

That's why people also have to stop drawing massive conclusions if someone loses a spar once. Same reason why Bo1 or Bo3 format matches aren't liked in a lot of esports. No time to adapt and actually show skill/much more susceptible to things they don't know about.

I live in Australia and average 190-240ms. I don't see why other international players have such bad connection/lag. If a lag cap was implemented it should be low to suit the American players, but not to low to be considerate to people who can't help their lag/connection. Maybe a simple vote/poll could decide the appropriate lag cap number.
