Computer software cleaning

Hello. I am having a trouble with my mac. I think it feels bit slower than before. I want to manually clean my mac, but I don't really trust any 'cleaner' applications. I think I have a lot of temp files from making videos in the past and chrome in general. I have all the hidden files viewable and I still can't find any junk to delete and afraid to mess with it.

1. How do I clean my browser(chrome)?
2. What possible cause can It make my computer run slower?
Just to let you know. I deleted all of my chrome extensions, including ghostery and theme changers and re-downloaded Adblock, but it doesn't really help at all.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

by cleaning chrome do you mean removing all history, cache, cookies, etc?

click on the three lines at the top right corner near the x button.
click on history
clear browsing data
a menu should pop up with a bunch of options such as cache, cookies, history
click all (or whichever you want) to delete them
select the timeframe from which you want to delete (i usually just use from the beginning of time)
then click clear browsing data

not sure if this is what you meant, but it is the only way id know how to "clean" chrome

im no computer expert as to why computers are slow, but this site seems to go through the most common reasons:
http://www.businessinsider.com/why-y...ws-down-2013-8

(ive actually gone in and manually selected what i want to start-up when i turn on my computer and it seems to have helped out some as well - because running a lot of unnecessary programs at the same time takes up memory)

also make sure you're constantly updating your computer (i dont use Macs, but i know windows has updates a lot that may go unnoticed so its best to have it check automatically and download them without you doing anything)

Just download CCleaner...belive me its worth it

Yeah CCleaner seems to be a popular choice, I've got it downloaded as well.

Don't worry about deleting temp files, they won't be missed.

Anything important won't end up in your temp file so go ahead and trash anything inside of it.

And what exactly do you mean by "Cleaning Chrome"?

Do you have a lot of adware or something?

If so, probably want to get an anti malware program like malwarebytes.

yeah i know. exactly. so i was expecting a win, but then he killed me right away and he got a win. lol
this never happened before. its so weird.

Graal was running really well until early july. So it's either my computer OR the game.
i have to also mention that my screen froze for like 2-3 seconds in a small group of pk crowd near the spawn bridge. (for the first time ever on pc lol)
and rarely i have to reload the game (at the beginning) cause it's running at 1/2 of the normal speed. i entered the game with 1/2 speed and it doesn't make any difference. everything was loading really slow. (next time i see this while loading up graal ill be sure to record it as well lol)
has anybody ever experienced this lately? is there some issues with the flash clients?

btw if u think the problem is my computer. i use iMac. i have not made any changes. all of my adobe flash, java scripts, mac os are stuck at old version. cause it was running well.
however i did download ghostery and stylish. stylish was installed few months ago, dusty linked me that extension. i doubt this harmed/slowed down my computer.
ghostery extension was installed very recently. Carey Holzman recommended during one of his Youtube presentation. ghostery basically blocks all the tracking websites.
Edit:I've disabled the ghostery, but i don't see any difference.

for next one week ill be playing graal through my new laptop and ipod. let me see if its same on those.

now this belongs here. my mac has a problem, not the game.

im gonna run ccleaner in a min. but making a backup files on my usb just in case lol

I use CCleaner after like every 10mins and i get around 50-100MB of trash ezpz.It only takes like 15secs for it to clean so don't bother it.

Unfortunately, computer hardware gets old quite quickly. It may be a software problem, but it also might as well be a hardware issue. Try taking it to your local Apple store to see if they can help you. Otherwise, perhaps run an anti-virus program on your Mac to clean out any malware your Mac may have gotten.
