Help with transparent body bgcolor in status

This hasn't been working for me for a while now.
People say to put the word "centered" after your <body bgcolor> in your status to make it semi-transparent, kinda like this:
<body bgcolor=#000000centered>
This doesn't work for me.
I asked people that did have it, and they said to add "centered" to the end of their HTML code, just like I was doing! :c

Either pointing out a flaw in my technique or getting some help from the administration on how to fix this issue (if it is an issue) would be fabulous. <3

Isn't that the code for the black bgcolor?

Sure is. I have #666666 (gray) in my status atm, but I was just using that as an example.
I had an older account, and this worked fine with black, so it should work fine with anything.

It's center not centered

put a space between bgcolor and equal sign
<body bgcolor =#000000centered>

never understood why this works on Graal, from an HTML perspective

#XXXXXX is hex that translates to #RRGGBB, or red, green and blue values. However, there is a fourth value that Graal apparently supports: Alpha. #RRGGBBAA. When you type in centered it's actually reading the values CE, which is valid hex that converts to 206. You can actually just use #RRGGBBAA format instead, so #000000CE would work, or #00000044 for very slightly transparent and so on.

okay, that explains a lot then, made absolutely 0 sense to me why everyone was throwing "center" in there, some have even suggested "center.png"

It's easier to remember...
