PC Spec Discussion

Hey guys! I wanted to make a thread so people can see what kind of tech other people are using on there PCs and what stuff they should look into when upgrading parts.

My specs are:
CPU: AMD-FX 8320 3.5GHz 8-Core
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600
MOBO: Biostar TA970
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB
PSU: Corsair 500CX 500W
OS: Windows 8.1 Professional
HDD: 1TB Western Digital 7200RPM

What do you think? What kind of games do you think this can play. Because I have no idea what the limits are :|

Share your specs or ask about PC stuff!

CPU: Intel i3-4130 3.4GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3 (Planned to put in 4GB from my other PC but will be buying some more instead)
MOBO: Gigabyte LGA 1150
GPU: GeForce GTX760 SC ACX 2GB DDR5
PSU: Corsair CX 500 Watt
OS: Windows 7
HDD: 120GB PNY SSD and Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD

Stratus 11-19-2014 08:58 PM

CPU: AMD Athion X4 760K
RAM: 8GB DDR3
MOBO: MSI A78M-E35
GPU: Radeon R7 260X
PSU: Corsair CX 430 watt
OS: Windows 7
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB

??? 11-19-2014 09:34 PM

CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 215
RAM: 4 GB DDR3
MOBO: M2N68-LA
GPU: GT 630 2GB
PSU: Corsair CX500
OS: Windows 7
HDD: 500 GB

A very mediocre system. It's actually the HP Pavilion a4317c with a replacement PSU and GPU which I switched out in August of this year(2014). The motherboard is actually bottlenecking my GPU currently so I'm losing a bit of performance in it so I hope to replace a few components. I'd like to get a much newer motherboard(I'm not sure which one yet), a new CPU(fx-6300), and more RAM(8 GB DDR3). I plan to replace them all this Christmas if possible and in time, a new(er) GPU.

Good luck M8
Stuff is pricey but so worth it in the long run. Unless you don't have a car yet...then you will regret it for as long as you go without one. I know, it happen to me right now D:
