Emotes

With the new emotes being released, there has been a lot of demand for the old emotes to come back, now for one who likes change I'm not also fond of the new emotes and prefer the old ones, however I and plenty of others would also like to think that an option to toggle on and off whether we want the old or new emotes, something similar to the Font Change option that we have. What are your views on this situation?

I was thinking this myself! This would be really nice

There won't be an option.

What's ironic is that you have an option to toggle the languages for the game client and even the font changing and numerous other options, then you add in some other emotes and can't toggle between the old and new ones?

There is no irony in that. From what I understand the emoticons are going to be expanded upon. They don't need to be done in two different styles each time to placate the few that will eventually get over it.

Whatever. A company is supposed to live up to their words and please their player base and be open to feedback but when not many like something you're just gonna continue to make us dislike it.

You were expecting me to expect you to do something about it? Nah man.

Narcosis 07-25-2014 02:08 AM

I hate to placate Rufus, but I don't think this would ever happen. Even if you did have an option, it would just be you seeing the old emotes, while everyone who didn't adjust said option would still be seeing the new ones. It just.. doesn't really work since some of the changed emotes give off a different "vibe" as their old counterparts. Everyone needs to see the same thing.

While I don't dislike all the new emotes, there are a few that I personally find questionable. If such emotes are brought to attention by numerous individuals, is there a chance they'll be redrawn?

Also emoji smirk emote please.

Man every day Classic becomes more like the "Great" UN. First it's making it so that events are joined by hitting a button, then it's making the chat bubbles different which I recall UN doing quite a bit, and lastly its the "important" staff members becoming trolls, or just obnoxious people which Rufus just demonstrated for us. Why don't we just rename this server iUN and save them the trouble of making UN again.
