How to deal with these silly little spiders?

You burn down the mines.

You have to keep on mining rocks until you get a giant hole and you go down there and kill the queen spider. Occasionally you'll get a small hole and a spider will come out, just kill it. Don't listen to people when they say "herp derp don't kill the spider it digs holes for you" it doesn't.

Leaving the spiders to make bigger holes isn't true. Probably they'll just kill you so it's the best to kill them before they kill you. Also when you're already inside the spider cave, you must have a revive potion because the spiders will probably kill you then you will be warped at the nearest hospital. Also you need a stronger melee or gun if possible because the spider queen escapes quickly. (I don't know about the webs.. Anyone knows what it does?)

What? Does Classic have some big boss gameplay now or something?

I've gotten a few small spiders here and there. But I've also dug around 300 rocks and still haven't spawned a big hole. So I'm out of luck. :(
