Midora
So this kickstarter campaign just hit and I personally think it's super cool taking its roots from the likes of minish cap and secret of mana.

Hey this looks like it has a lot of potential!
Was very hyped until I saw the trailer. The gameplay looks incredibly slow and controls look stiff and annoying.
Hopefully this changes, otherwise the graphics can only do so much. |

Like the music, and the style is great. Hopefully the movement is smoothened out a bit then I'd definitely play it.
Look sweet.
This game looks interesting. I'll be keeping tabs on this.
What's so special about this?
Personally, I kind of miss this artstyle in a game with smooth controls. There have been a lot of indie games lately but none of them really capture the same style or feel as, let's say, an RPG game on the SNES.
I saw this on PJ :o I love the graphics, but tbh it really just looks like Minish Cap, would still give it a go though.
The sword swinging animation is sorta... Odd.
Eh.
Looks ok but I'd rather play actual LoZ. |
I agree that the art just looks like Minish Cap. It's not a down-side (as the art looks great and very inviting) but it is prevalent. If they can really smooth out the game play it'll probably be pretty cool though, and they probably will. Some of the functions with crafting and the Magic section on their KickStarter looks like it could be cool additions to a basic LoZ gameplay style. Will just have to wait to see how they play their cards.
