Midora

So this kickstarter campaign just hit and I personally think it's super cool taking its roots from the likes of minish cap and secret of mana.

What do you guys think of it?

Hey this looks like it has a lot of potential!

Was very hyped until I saw the trailer. The gameplay looks incredibly slow and controls look stiff and annoying.

Hopefully this changes, otherwise the graphics can only do so much.

The managing director is a very open minded person. You should shoot him a message on facebook and let him know your opinion given your project history. I'm sure he'd appreciate it :)

Like the music, and the style is great. Hopefully the movement is smoothened out a bit then I'd definitely play it.

Look sweet.

This game looks interesting. I'll be keeping tabs on this.

What's so special about this?

Phantos 06-14-2014 08:02 PM

Personally, I kind of miss this artstyle in a game with smooth controls. There have been a lot of indie games lately but none of them really capture the same style or feel as, let's say, an RPG game on the SNES.

MrSimons 06-14-2014 08:45 PM

I saw this on PJ :o I love the graphics, but tbh it really just looks like Minish Cap, would still give it a go though.

The sword swinging animation is sorta... Odd.

5hift 06-14-2014 11:56 PM

Eh.

Looks ok but I'd rather play actual LoZ.

fallchild 06-15-2014 08:53 PM

I agree that the art just looks like Minish Cap. It's not a down-side (as the art looks great and very inviting) but it is prevalent. If they can really smooth out the game play it'll probably be pretty cool though, and they probably will. Some of the functions with crafting and the Magic section on their KickStarter looks like it could be cool additions to a basic LoZ gameplay style. Will just have to wait to see how they play their cards.

Hello, Mhyre here. I'm the Game Director for Midora.

I understand concerns you have about the gameplay. You are not alone on this. I have posted an answer to those concerns in the second Kickstarter update. You might want to check it out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...0/posts/879487
