Wayward Souls: Must Have for RPG, Dungeon Hunters.

After a long wait, Rocketcat Games, the developer of well known IOS titles such as Mage Gauntlet and Punch Quest, finally released their new wonder.

Wayward Souls. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=226260

This game is SIMPLY AMAZING. Basically this is a Rogue-like RPG dungeon-crawler with 6 different classes:

Warrior
Mage
Rogue
Adventurer
Spellsword
Cultist

Each have unique abilities and fighting style but all are on par with one another which makes the classes balanced. The characters also have their own different storyline which makes the game seem to have a little more direction then conventional dungeon-crawler games.

The aim if the game is to progress through a dungeon tower with randomly generating levels. This makes things more interesting since you won't be fighting one specific set of enemies in one specific terrain over and over again. Making things more difficult for different classes and at the same time extremely fun.

Oh and my personal favorite part, HATS.

Yes. There's hats in this game. What do they do?

Nothin.

Which is why I like it.

Another part that you guys might like is the no IAPs part.

They're few really good IOS games I know that don't have any IAPs at all. Wayward Souls has become one of those few. Instead, Rocketcat Games takes on a different marketing scheme. As of right now, Wayward Souls costs $4.99. After the next update, the price will increase.

$4.99 seems like a lot, but trust me. This game is golden.

Yeah it was all a ploy to get you to spend your money.

It all seems too good to be true.

I'm currently playing this game, and it is very fun and exciting. I'm always looking forward to the next dungeon, waiting to see what the game will throw at me next. I always liked the dungeon crawlers where they're randomly generated, throwing hard or easy enemy's your way.

In case anybody was still interested in a game similar to this, check out Rogue Legacy (PC and July 29th on PS4)

Rogue Legacy is awesome, but god damn does the difficulty spike up.

Since this is Graal, and thus very Zelda-inspired people should check out Binding of Isaac. A zelda-dungeon-themed rogue-like with completely randomly generated dungeons and items and such. Good fun... very dark though.

I'd also like to remind you,

Rocketcat Games raises the price of the game by 1 USD every time an update is released.

So far, only one update has been released.

Now if only more developers did this instead of shoving IAPs in our mouth.
