First Reactions
With the new batch of anime coming out, I would like to see your guy's initial reactions to the first one to three episodes of different series to get your guy's opinions on them. You can talk about what you enjoy so far and what are you looking forward to in the upcoming episodes. Normally this would be for ongoing series, but you can also talk about completed series you started.
With the new series, the first one I started is Selector Infected WIXOSS. It's an anime about are card game that grants you wishes if you win multiple games. Now this sounds childish at first, kinda like Yugioh, but a leading genre is psychological. The series is rated R- for it being violent. The first episode is not that bad, it introduces the whole card games and our main characters. I'm ready for more darkness and grimness from the upcoming episodes. |
Can't wait to watch the two new animes tomorrow.

Going to be watching some in bulk with a friend over the weekend
|
Waiting for more of my bulk to be released and where.
So far, Crunchyroll only picked up two of the series I wanted to watch. |
Mushishi got a new episode.
Thought it was alright. |
One Week Friends
I'm worried about the budget they were given. There's almost no backgrounds (just a big white blur). I feel like the story isn't going to be that great either, character designs seem to be lacking as well. But as far as first impressions go, it has potential. Hopefully after a few episodes, it'll get rolling. Brynhildr In The Darkness If this doesn't turn into Harem In The Darkness, I feel like it has the possibility of being one of the stand out animes of this season. Character designs are good. Story is interesting. Captain Earth The **** is going on. If someone starts throwing galaxies, I'm done. I liked it though, but I'm not going to expect much from this series. Kid can poop out rainbows if he wants though. Blade and Soul It was okay, the start was a little slow and combat was short. Like Captain Earth, not expecting much. Characters seem bland. Irregular At Magic High School This one wasn't on my lists, but I'm glad I added it. The fights scenes are really well done and the use of magic is different from the usual term magic. Characters seem interesting, love the bro-con little sister. |

Anime I saw from Friday through Sunday:
Akuma no Riddle (Riddle Story of Devil) 12 fully trained girls targeting one girl? Let's see how this will work out. Wait is this girl gaining affection for the target? Guess she will be the body guard protecting her. Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou (The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior) This series is okay for the first episode. Guy moves to new building and has a weirdo roommate, but the girl he admires also lives in the building. Seems like it'll follow a cliche romantic comedy route, but I'll keep an eye on this to see if it makes a bigger impression later on Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (The Irregular at Magic High School) I like how this series is going out for the first episode, shows some good fight scenes, gets a good focus on the two main characters, that bro-con. I can see why this was voted most anticipated series for this spring. Seikoku no Dragonar (Dragon Academy) This series gives a lot of Dragon Crisis feel to it. How the main character hatches a dragon human type thing. The problem with Dragon crisis is that it felt quite rushed, so I hope it won't be the same for this series. Gokukoku no Brynhildr (Brynhildr in the Darkness) This series really caught my attention, probably my favorite first episode out of the series I've seen so far. Right away grabs you with a tragic back story that grips your attention and really keeps a hold of your attention right up to the end, making it so you HAVE to watch the next episode. Love Live! School Idol Project 2nd Season First Episode wasn't attention grabbing, just explaining a new Love Live contest is starting. I will be watching that as my replacement Idols anime after Wake Up, Girls! ended. Isshuukan Friends. (One Week Friends) I really like these types of anime. Memory loss is something that really grabs my attention (Which is why I love series like Golden Time and Ef- Tales of Memories). I feel as though having a loss in memory brings despair to many people, and seeing them trying to cope with trying to get the memories back is intriguing. |
Is Attack on Titan or SAO coming out this spring?
